Translate your site into other languages
Your site can speak more languages on every plan: one more on Free, two on Starter, three on Business. Add a language once - the whole site is translated for you and stays translated when you edit it.
Add a language
- Open the business in your dashboard, then Settings -> Site languages.
- Pick a language and press Add a language. Translation starts right away and usually takes a few minutes.
- When the language says Ready to publish, open the editor and press Publish. Visitors see the new language from that moment.
- You can also ask any assistant: "Translate my site into German".
What gets translated
- Every page, the menu, the buttons and the footer.
- SEO titles and descriptions, so search engines show your site in that language too.
- Published blog posts.
- The business name, phone, email and address stay as they are.
When you edit your site
- Changed text is translated again automatically - the language shows Updating for a moment, then Live.
- Only new or changed phrases are translated, so the rest of the translation stays exactly as it was.
Fix a translation by hand
- In Site languages open the menu next to the language and choose Edit translations.
- Find the phrase, change it and press Save. Your version stays even when the site is translated again.
- Reset to auto brings back the automatic translation.
- If a phrase has bold words or a link, keep the formatting tags as they are.
What visitors see
- A language switcher in the header shows the language code; open it to pick another language. In the editor, under the header settings, choose whether it sits in the navigation or next to the buttons.
- If a visitor's browser speaks one of your languages, a small note at the bottom offers to switch. Nothing changes until they press it.
- Each language has its own address, like /de/ for German, and search engines are told which page is which language.
Plans
- Languages besides your main one: Free 1, Starter 2, Business 3.
- If the business moves to a smaller plan, the languages over its limit are paused - hidden from visitors, translations kept. They come back when the plan allows them again.
